Shirley has over thirty years experience in a wide range of fields. Prior to starting this practice was working in other private practices, Community Health, Rehabilitation centres and the acute sector. As with all our physiotherapists, Shirley has done many recent post-graduate courses in treating sports, spinal and other conditions. She has

  • completed three levels of Manutension Training (a particular lifting / manual handling technique)
  • conducted many courses and seminars in Strength Training
  • completed Level 4 of the Clinical Pilates Training at DMA and is proficient at using this training in rehabilitation

Brent DaviesBrent Davies

Brent graduated from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 1999 and went on to complete his Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy in 2002. Brent has worked in New Zealand and for 4 years in Europe. He joined the team at Strong Life Physiotherapy at the start of 2006 and brings with him a wealth of experience in sports physiotherapy, post-surgical rehabilitation and treating work-related injuries. He has

  • completed Level 4 of the Clinical Pilates Training at DMA and is proficient at using this training in rehabilitation.

He also has a keen interest in the eastern energy arts (Tai Chi and Chi Gong) and teaches these at our clinic and has a special interest in Strength Training. His personal interests include mountain biking, surfing, hiking traveling and fitness.

She is a busy mother of a preschooler who enjoys keeping fit, quilting and getting to the beach in her spare time.

Anna has a special interest in Lymphoedema and she has completed the following relevant courses 

  • Complex Decongestive Physiotherapy for Lymphoedema
    In a 2 week full-time course in Adelaide with Dr Casley-Smith
  • Földi KliniK in Germany
    4 week full-time course

She offers treatment for primary & secondary lymphoedema as well as lymphoedema treatment in palliative care. After assessment, treatment may include
